GoDare shoots to the moon…

10..9..8..7..6..5..
A few months ago we took up the challenge to develop a rocket program together with some engineers from Lely, Gevasol and the Nova team and a physics teacher from the Lentiz Lyceum. The goal will be to design, build and test a parachute, the rocket's engine and the rocket itself. The students, 4VWO, will be divided into subgroups with different roles. Designers, builders, testers, as well as students who will be responsible for the safety and organization of the launch. Important theories to be covered are Newton's 2nd and 3rd law, species and gravity, but also chemistry in testing different fuels. Some parts we will deliver prefabricated. We have "only" 12 weeks....

Yes, yes, now you will think, but this has been done before, right? Indeed, there are even clubs that build rockets semi-professionally. But yes, it really is much more fun (and educational) to figure it out yourself. To be continued. Jeroen van Emden, Timo Sanders, Brynn Appeldoorn, Vaibhav Byreddy, Marcel Langelaan, Matteo Manieri and Annerieke Ohm: thanks!
